Users who like LCD screen mobile phones always like to say "LCD is never slave!" The reason is that the LCD screen is more friendly to the eyes, more eye protection. However, the LCD screen does not support the fingerprint under the screen, there is no way to make a full screen, and the screen details are not as good as the OLED screen, resulting in the current only a part of the low-cost mobile phone will use the LCD screen.

However, the low-frequency dimming of the OLED screen will cause the screen to flicker, and long-term use will cause discomfort to the eyes. Especially in low brightness, stroboscopic will become more and more serious. With everyone's attention to eye health, some mobile phones have adopted 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology to reduce the damage to the eyes in low brightness environments (the higher the screen refresh rate and the higher the stroboscope, the lower the damage to the eyes).

According to Hispider relevant studies, the stroboscopic frequency of the OLED screen must reach at least 1250Hz to be basically harmless to the human eye (no risk above 3125Hz), otherwise it will cause vision loss, increase eye fatigue, induce migraine, photosensitive epilepsy and so on. The current mainstream OLED screen stroboscopic frequency is only 240Hz, far from harmless frequency. DC dimming is only slightly improved, and the essence has not changed, so the damage of OLED screens to the human eye can’t be avoided.

Hispider Important note:

(1) During the day, OLED strobe has little effect on the eyes, mainly under low light conditions. Therefore, whether it is LCD, or OLED, do not look at the phone at night with the lights off.

(2) The blue light and strobe of mobile phones have greater damage to children's eyes, and try not to let children play mobile phones for a long time.

(3) More lutein supplementation helps to reduce visual damage and slow down the increase of myopia.
